Bataan free port lands P6.2-billion new investments in 2015

MARIVELES, BATAAN—The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (Afab) attracted more than P6.2 billion in investment commitments last year, consistent with its vision to become an “emerging economic dragon” in the country.

Afab Chairman and Administrator Deogracias Custodio said in a statement on Wednesday the P6.2-billion total came from 28 new business projects signed last year in the areas of manufacturing, business-process outsourcing, information technology, tourism and power.

MARIVELES, Bataan -- The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) has secured some P6.2 billion in investment commitments in 2015 as more investors expressed confidence in putting up their businesses at the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).

The investment pledges were poured into the industries of manufacturing, business process outsourcing (BPO), information technology (IT), tourism, and power.

Bataan Freeport hosts FTSC, gains support for projects

MARIVELES, BATAAN – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) recently presented its marketing and promotion plans and projects to the Foreign Trade Services Corps (FTSC) of the Department of Trade and Industry’s International Trade Group.

The FTSC visited the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) to tour the industrial area and hold a brief meeting with the marketing group of the AFAB. Among the topics discussed during the meeting are the investment opportunities in the FAB and the five-year promotion and development program of the AFAB called the “7 Pillars of Inclusive Growth.”

MARIVELES, BATAAN – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) has lured over P6.2 billion in investment commitments in 2015, as the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) becomes the emerging economic dragon of the country.

AFAB Chairman Atty. Deogracias Custodio said the AFAB secured 28 new business projects worth P6,228,299,979.30. The investment pledges were poured into the industries of manufacturing, business process outsourcing (BPO) and information technology (IT), tourism and power.
