Bataan factories hiring over 1,000

Four companies are hiring more than a thousand workers to support support expansion in the Freeport Area of Bataan, which is emerging as the fashion and design manufacturing hub  in the Philippines.

Authority of Freeport Area of Bataan chairman and administrator Deogracias Custodio said the new opportunities reflected the growing industry inside the Freeport in Mariveles town.

Custodio said it was also the result of the agency’s commitment to strengthen strategic sectors and industries that provide greater employment multipliers.

Mariveles, Bataan – Four registered locators of the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) are hiring new workers to address their operation requirements. 

Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Chairman and Administrator Deogracias G.P. The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) recently joined the Kabisig Philippine Government Expo and Trade Fair 2015 at the Skydome, SM North Edsa.

Bataan freeport hopeful of another banner year

MANILA, Philippines - The Authority of Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) hopes to match, if not beat, its 2014 banner performance this year with more investment commitments in power, infrastructure and port development expected in the second half.

FAB chairman Deogracias Custodio said in a recent interview that it would be difficult for the freeport zone to surpass the P84-billion investment pledges just in the first half of 2014.

However, he said the freeport zone is trying to match the record-high investment commitments last year.
